Puppy Agreement Miniature Schnauzer
Buyer and Seller agree:
Buyer will have puppy examined by their own veterinarian within 72 hours at buyer’s expense. If a defect is found the puppy may immediately be returned to seller. No other remedy is implied or offered. No cash refunds after this 72 hour period except as stated below.
Buyer understands this is a baby dog and will take the time needed to help the puppy to adjust to new home and surroundings. Puppy will be kept safe from harm and receive regular veterinary check-ups and medical care as needed. Buyer agrees to be responsible for veterinary costs for this puppy for its lifetime.
Buyer understands this breed of dog requires regular brushing and grooming/clipping. Buyer realizes this puppy may need professional grooming and understands this is a necessary recurring cost for the lifetime of this dog.
Buyer will take the time to train this puppy, as puppies generally do not know how to behave well on their own. Buyer will seek professional training instruction if needed at buyer's expense.
This puppy will be a loved member of the buyer’s family and will not be kept strictly as an outside dog. Buyer understands that dogs are pack animals and that this puppy needs daily attention and affection.Puppy will not be sold to a pet shop, research facility or other. If buyer is unable to keep puppy at any time during its lifetime, buyer will contact seller for placement assistance or return puppy to seller.
Buyer agrees to contact seller if they have any questions concerning this puppy’s life care and they cannot find the answers elsewhere. Seller will do everything possible to assist buyer in finding the answer sought.
This puppy has been age-appropriately vaccinated and wormed. This puppy has had its tail docked and front dewclaws removed. This puppy has had a thorough health exam by the seller’s veterinarian who has found puppy to be clean of any disease or life-threatening defects. Seller will guarantee against life-threatening congenital defects for a period of 2 years. If one is found, buyer will provide seller with detailed veterinary record showing proof of said defect. Buyer will also give their veterinarian permission to discuss the puppy’s condition with the seller. If the defect is proven, seller will provide buyer with similar quality puppy as soon as one becomes available or price of their puppy once that puppy is sold.
Seller will provide limited AKC registration papers as soon as buyer submits proof this puppy has been altered. This must be done by the time the puppy reaches 8 months old. This puppy is NOT to be used for breeding but is being sold as a pet. If puppy is found being used for breeding buyer will pay seller a $1500 breeding fee. Buyer will also immediately return puppy to seller.
